Aluminium Roller Shutters in Leeds
15th Sep 2016
AMO Security has recently undertaken the installation of 46 electric aluminium roller shutters in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The extruded aluminium roller shutters were chosen for their strength and security, installed internally to the building, the aluminium roller shutters were powder coated white to blend in with the surroundings of the recently refurbished office space.
Controlled by key switches and group commands, the aluminium roller shutters were installed into zoned areas to allow each zone to be operated individually. Powered by 240v tube motors, the roller shutters were also installed with auto locks that enable them to be automatically locked down when they reach the bottom limit.
The installation was carried out at Joseph’s Well on Hanover Way, just on the outskirts of Leeds city centre. Joseph’s Well also known as John Barran’s clothing factory. Sir John Barran MP pioneered the Leeds ready-made clothing industry in the 1850’s, introducing the band knife for cutting multiple layers of cloth. In 1887 he opened the building in addition to his others in Park Square. He also secured the purchase of Roundhay Park for Leeds when he was Mayor.
