Our journey started in West Yorkshire back in 1989 when the late Peter Hudson decided to put his heart and skills into supplying high-quality Security Doors & Shutters, Security Gates &Grilles, and a range of Garage Doors.
Over the years, our scope expanded significantly after venturing into the awning market. Fast forward to 2014, we hit a major growth milestone with the acquisition of Lakeland Awnings; a big turning point for us. Now, with an array of contemporary pergolas, retractable awnings, and more, our portfolio is decked out to meet your every need.
At the heart of AMO, our family spirit still thrives. Today, three generations of the Hudson family steer the ship: Rachael Hudson, Abby Huntington, and Liz Hudson, along with our fantastic team, who you can meet here.

Liz is more than our accounts wizz; she’s the true heart of AMO. Mother to Rachael and wife of the late Peter Hudson (our founder), she sweetens our days with treats and brightens our tasks with her meticulous care. She’s the glue holding our numbers—and all of us—together with grace and warmth.
Got a technical question? Will’s your guy. Since 2015, he’s been our go-to expert, handling everything from deliveries to detailed manufacturing queries. Working alongside the “AMO women”, he brings a mix of technical prowess and a hint of humour to our daily grind, and we love him for it!
Nigel’s the familiar face you’ll meet during installations, ensuring everything is up to scratch with a whistle and a smile. Just a heads up: if you’re making him a cuppa then skip the sugar, he likes a “proper builder’s brew”!
Brad’s not just skilled at assembling awnings; he’s the king of packed lunches and the first in line when sweets are involved. His dedication to craftsmanship and his lighthearted banter keep our production line lively and our spirits high.
